Overview of the issue
If you create a post with a post excerpt (or a product with a short description, which works via post excerpts), translate the post and then delete the excerpt (or short description) from the original, when you update the translation the initial translation of the excerpt is unaffected. It should also be deleted.
Workaround
In such a scenario you will need to edit the translated posts (or products) and manually delete the excerpt (or short description), until such time as this issue is fixed.
