Overview of the issue
When you deactivate and reactivate WPML after migrating your website or updating WPML manually, you see the following error:
WordPress database error Duplicate entry ‘1616-de’ for key ‘wp_icl_translations.trid_lang’ for query UPDATE `wp_icl_translations` SET `language_code` = ‘de’ WHERE `translation_id` = ‘2122’ made by require_once('wp-admin/admin.php’), require_once('wp-load.php’), require_once('wp-config.php’), require_once('wp-settings.php’), do_action('init’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, SitePress->rebuild_language_information, TranslationManagement->add_missing_language_information, TranslationManagement->add_missing_language_to_posts, TranslationManagement->add_missing_language_to_post)
Keep in mind that the entry (1616-de) and translation_id (2122) values may vary from one website to another.
