Overview of the issue

When using WPBakery Page Builder with WPML, you might experience the following issue: if special characters like %, é, or à are added to a Raw HTML module, the translated page will appear correctly on the frontend, but the modules will not display in the backend editor of the translated page.

Workaround

The issue is due to the encoding used by the plugin, which triggers a JavaScript error: Uncaught URIError: URI malformed.
There is currently no workaround available. We are aware of this issue and have contacted the plugin author.
