Overview of the issue
Your WordPress installation may have terms and taxonomy terms that use different IDs. You can see an example of when this could happen in the WordPress community forum.
When this happens, the import of taxonomies doesn’t work as expected. Categories appear in every language, but they are not connected as translations of each other.
