Overview of the issue

When translating your content with WPML, links containing query parameters (e.g., domain.com?param=value&another=value) may be incorrectly translated. Specifically, the ampersand & in the query string may be HTML-encoded to &, causing the link to pass incomplete parameters.

Workaround

We are aware of this issue and our developers are working on a permanent fix.

In the meantime, we recommend manually correcting the affected links in the translation:

  • Edit the translation using the WordPress editor or your page builder editor (instead of the translation editor ATE).
  • Correct the links that contain query parameters.
  • Save the changes and verify the links on the front-end.
