Set Date and Time Formats for Secondary Languages
To set different date and time formats for secondary languages:
- Go to WPML → Translations and open the Strings tab.
- In the Utilities panel at the bottom of the page, find Not seeing strings you are looking for? and click the Admin Texts Translation link.

- On the Admin Texts Translation page, select date_format and time_format and click Add to String Translation.

- Next, return to the Strings tab. The admin_texts_date_format and admin_texts_time_format strings should appear in the table.
- Translate the strings by entering a new date and time format. For example, we’ll set the date format in French to d/m/Y.

Why Are Formats Not Changing?
Some themes have their own options for date and time formats, so you may not see any change on your site when following the steps above. In these cases, you need to find your theme’s date and time format strings.
To find your theme’s date and time format strings, open the All domains dropdown on the Strings tab and select your theme. Then, search for strings related to date and time formats. Once you find the right strings, translate them as explained above.
