Overview of the issue
You can translate taxonomies and image texts in the Advanced Translation Editor, however, if you complete a translation for a taxonomy or an image text, and at a later time you try to change it, WPML will overwrite it with the first version. Therefore, in the Advanced Translation Editor you’ll see the changes applied but, in the front-end, you’ll have the old version.
Workaround
For taxonomies: translate or edit them in WPML > Taxonomy Translation
For image texts: translate or edit them in the Media Library or in WPML > Media Translation (you’ll need the WPML Media Translation addon)
