Overview of the issue
When you use our Automatic Translation feature, in the background, WPML runs one of the available machine translation engines – Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, or DeepL.
In some cases, you might notice some extra blank spaces before special characters such as comma, dots, exclamation marks, and more. This issue is not caused by WPML but actually comes from certain grammar rules enforced by these translation engines.
